Ticket bot for FiveM servers
A FiveM server gets the same five kinds of requests again and again: questions, unban appeals, reports about players, problems with purchases and people who want to join staff. Here is how to set up tickets so each kind lands with the right people.
Start with the game server template
Ticket System has a ready-made template under Categories called "FiveM and game server". It creates five categories, each with its own button:
- Support: general help and questions.
- Unban: asks for the ban ID, why the player was banned, and why they should be unbanned.
- Purchase: asks what was bought and for the transaction ID or receipt.
- Report player: asks who it is about, what happened, and whether there are clips or pictures as proof.
- Staff application: asks for age, hours on the server and why you should choose them.
Three quick replies come with it, e.g. "Find your ban ID" and "Proof missing". You can change everything afterwards: names, questions, colours and texts.
Free or Premium? Free has two categories. All five, and the questions before the ticket is opened, require Premium. New servers get Premium free for 14 days with no card, so you can try the whole template first.
Unban appeals: let only the right people see them
An unban case should not be read by the whole team. Give the Unban category its own staff role under Categories, e.g. Admin. Then only admins can see and answer those tickets, and the rest of your staff do not see them at all.
When the ticket has been handled and deleted, the whole conversation is in a transcript. That is good to have when the same player applies again in three months.
Player reports: get the proof from the start
Most reports stall because proof is missing. Ask for it before the ticket is opened, and have a quick reply ready for those who forget. Images sent in the ticket are saved with the transcript, so they can still be seen when the channel is gone.
Purchases and donations
This is often urgent for the player. Raise the priority of the ticket so it is at the top for staff, and use the tag "Payment" so you can see afterwards how many cases are about purchases.
Whitelist and applications in a form
Do you use a form outside Discord, e.g. Google Forms, for whitelisting? A category can be a link instead of a ticket. Then the button sits in the same panel as the rest, but opens your form.
Make it easy for your staff
- Claim: whoever takes a ticket is shown on it. Then two people do not answer the same thing.
- User card and notes: staff see how old the account is and which tickets the player has had before. They can write a note that follows the player to the next ticket. The player does not see it.
- Duty on/off Premium: only those on duty are pinged for new tickets.
- Opening hours Premium: outside opening hours the player is told when you will answer, and staff are not pinged at night.
- Verify panel: a button new members must press to get access. It keeps most bots out.
